Previously on The Porch, we looked at some of the recent comments I have seen relating to leadership.  Today, we look at a few quotes or comments relating to how we treat others.  Take a look:

“Sometimes it is better to be kind than to be right.  We do not need an intelligent mind that speaks, but a patient heart that listens.” – Unknown

“No matter how educated, talented, rich or cool you believe you are, how you treat people ultimately tells all.  Integrity is everything.” – Unknown

“Work hard in silence, let success make the noise!” – Unknown

“Respect is how to treat everyone, not just those you want to impress.” – Richard Branson

If I could sum up these four comments, it would be, “People are often more impressed with those things we do that are least intended to impress.”  Treating others with respect, focusing on others – not self, allowing your work to speak for itself, truly caring for others…  if you live like this, success and satisfaction will surely follow.
